His knowledge and experience are priceless and in these 4 videos he explains what ESD is, why we need to be aware of it and why we don’t need to worry about it as much with modern computer hardware. If you’re worried about shocking and destroying your computer components Jay not only tells you why you don’t need to worry but shows you just how much more robust today’s PC components are by doing the things the ESD fear mongers tell you not to do.

  1. I checked your video to make sure I wasn’t missing any steps but I got some pretty useful extra information thanks ๐Ÿ‘ I planned on pairing two of my new sticks with one of my old sticks๐Ÿ˜…

  2. 13 minute video of a professional yapper whoโ€™s also including unnecessary nonsense in the video or a 2 minute video that goes straight to the point

  3. So, if I have 8 Gb of ram in my pc right now should I take that out to replace my 2x16gb? And put that in my 2nd and 4th slot?

  4. I’m figuring out which RAM sticks I should get for my Alienware Aurora R7. I’m considering upgrading the RAM from 16 to 32, but I do not know what type of sticks I should and can get. I looked for compatible sources, but it was quite difficult to find proper sources to help me with this.

EDIT: this is the Motherboard in question (Desktop Motherboard VDT73 0VDT73 CN-0VDT73)

  5. If i have 2 x 8g ram installed can i install a different ram from a diffrent brand and different size while having the other ram installed?

  6. Dude! I really like your videos! Straight to the point! Canโ€™t stand when I click on a video about (how to) and 20 minutes later after two or more advertising promos I get to know that cable A goes on port D. annoying

  7. So my Aurora R16 caps out at 64GB (2×32 DIMM slots) 5600mhz. I am looking at upgrading to Kinston Fury XMP 64GB at 6400mhz with CAS Latency at 32. I don’t care to overclock at this stage, so the Kingston is technically overspec’ed for the R16 and should run fine at the Aurora’s max native speed of 5600mhz, correct?

  8. Im getting the Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz for my msi pc bc it only got 8 but should I got for a higher MHz or will 2666 work good it what i got rin with the one that came with the pc 8gb

The pc is just a basic h310 gaming infinite (ms-b915) that what it atleast said jn the settings

  9. i am only gaming and have 16 gb but i just bought a fresh 32 gb shall i use that and take the 16 out or leave it in there for48 gb which is massive overkill?

  10. My problem is that i added 1 new RAM stick thats almost indentical ddr4 3k mhz like old one, cl16, same 8gb only brand is different because those arent made anymore.
When i turn on PC both of them fall to 2100ish mhz even with auto "tuning" turned in BIOS. When i leave the old one it goes back to 3k mhz, when i leave just new one its same just when they are double they go like they dont match … Im baffled

  11. im upgrading my ram to 32gb today, and already have xmp turned on before. Do i need to go to my bios again once ive doon my upgrade to re-enable xmp after installing my new ram sticks?

  14. Wait so I shouldnโ€™t have downloaded my RAM from the link on a website that says itโ€™s perfectly legit..?

  15. I have a question, do I have to do something in my BIOS after I put my ram in? because I want to upgrade my ram by my self and im afraid that I will have to do something with the BIOS. I would really appreciate if someone can help me!!

  16. I would appreciate suggestions to this question:

    I have 2 PNY 1600 8GB Ram sticks with C11 Latency. I want to buy 2 additional 8GB Ram sticks. Cost isnโ€™t a factor.

    Should I buy:

    2 Motoeagle 1600 8GB with C7 Latency

    or

2 PNY identical to the 2 that I am already using

  17. I run 5 bluestacks games at the same time. I currently have 16gb of ram and it maxes it out. Time for 32gb of ram. Many don’t need the 32gb but if your running heavy applications this would be ideal.

  20. Hey man love the video! Quick question. If I am changing out my existing ram, is there anything I need to do computer wise after/before changing it out? Like transferring any memory etc? Iโ€™m very new to this thank you!

  21. Thank you for this video! I didn’t think to look at the support page for the motherboard. So that honestly saved me a few hundred dollars. This also showed that doing this was a lot simpler than I thought!

  22. Can i just buy any type of ram and put it in there? For example, i have 8gb (one stick) and i want to add 16gb (in one stick), is that possible or do I need to have 8gb, and does the ram have to be the same manufacturer or can i have a Corsair ram and something else?๐Ÿ˜…
