Smart Home Device Won't CONNECT To WiFi! How to connect your 2.4 GHz Smart Home Device to Wifi.

Most smart home devices work on a 2.4GHz frequency, while some home routers operate on a 5GHz frequency. This can prevent your new smart home device(s) (Alexa, Google home, smart bulbs, smart switches, & smart plugs) from connecting to your Wifi. This video shows you how to force your Wifi to connect on a 2.4GHz frequency.

  6. I thought this was “clickbait” like so many other videos but this actually worked. I was like omg wooow!🤣 literally had been setting up my granny’s energizer lightbulb camera for about 2hrs.🤦🏽‍♀️ But this most definitely did the trick!! Thank you so much!!☺️

  8. Lmao what a tip haha, just walk away until you connect to 2.4 🤣🤣
If it’s stupid and it works then it’s not stupid

  9. That’s not going to work with my home door bell camera..whats strange is it use to connect to the 5g that I have but it’s not anymore.

  10. So uh i’m unsure, i toggled airplane mode, turned my light on and walked all the way to the other side of my backyard (im not sure if i should mention that the wifi is closer than the device is from my phone, i didn’t see my wifi cut out so it’s probably not far enough which would also explain it, should i try on the other side (where the device is closer) tomorrow (my wifi is also weaker from this place so it might work)

  11. FOR THOSE WHO KEEP STRUGGLING I found out. Put it to pair in slowly mode = turn off and on 3 times waiting 2 sec between, when light is on. Then go pair it manually = hit pair new device, choose your device. Then the app its gonna ask you if its flashing slowly, rapid or still, hit the slowly option. Then the app its gonna ask you to connect to the light bulb WIFI, connect to it. AND THEN, when the app show you the 2 minutes timer, the bulb will stop flashing, but the timer will keep on, YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF THE SMARTPHONE WIFI. And should connect without problems. Tell me if this work for you. Things to have in consideration = need to have Bluetooth on, need a WIFI connection with internet connection, need a 2.4 hz WIFI band (If you saw the video you know a way to), need to have gps on, make sure the app have such permissions granted, and lastly, you should have choose the Phillips Smart Bulb 🙂

  12. I GAVE YOU THUMB DOWN YOUR INFORMATION DID NOT WORK I AM READY TO SMASH THESE NEW LIGHTS AND I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE REAL INFORMATION THAT WORKS SO FAR NO ONE HAS GIVEN ME REAL ANSWERS.
