Thanks so much! Was going to pay a tech to replace it but was quoted 50$ alone to remove the back of laptop before they could give me a pricing for battery! It cost me about that much to order it from Amazon! 😊
Thank-you so much!
Where do you find info on what battery you need to get ?
Thank you. 😀
This is the second time I’ve used this video (for the same laptop). Thank you for making this. Your calm demeanor and lack of additional sounds in the background made it easy to follow!
my hp pavilion 15 notepad doesn’t look like this o the bottom!
Will my laptop work if i remove the battery since i think mine got battery leak
Thanks for the video! It worked perfect for me.
Awesome video! I did this while my Internet unexpectedly went out. The time passed quickly and now I have a new battery that will allow me to work for hours anywhere! 😊
hello, so there is no separate cmos battery?
You rock! Thanks so much for posting this and the link for the battery. I followed your instructions and it only took me 10 minutes. Thank you so much!
10/10 very accurate and easy to follow
When your laptop needs "The Aunt Jemima Treatment".
Thanks brev
Thankyou a million times over for this instructive video. I successfully just changed out a dead battery I’ve been milking 10-12% charge for almost 2 years in about 10 minutes and a $25 battery on Amazon. Your videos make the world a better place
Pro tip: rather than pay an exorbitant price for an HP-branded spatula, just pick one up from a discount store.
Very helpful thank you! I have a CL model and this was very similar so I was easily able to change my battery.
mine opens up from the other side
You think upgrading the memory at this point isnworth it on this unit? Its old its slow butnits all I got
Thank you! Great tips about the hidden screws and how to pop the back off. I’ve now given my aging laptop a new lease of life for about thirty GBP. 😊
CMOS does not retain time, it preserves the BIOS/UEFI/Firmware settings and configurations.
Thank you so much. You spared me a trip to Best Buy!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I did it on my own. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I had a hard time doing it myself but watching your video helped me so much!!🙏
Thank you! We just switched ours out in about 10 minutes.
My battery was not charging past about 25% so I did a replacement. When I booted up, the new battery had 71% charge. I shut the computer down and charged it overnight. I used it the next day and turned off the power with the battery at about 20%. The next day, I wanted to use the computer but the battery was only at 5%. I fiddled with it for a while and it seems that when I plug the adaptor in, the battery charges for about 5 seconds, then stops charging. Any ideas?
The power adaptor runs the computer okay, but it doesn’t charge. Could it still be a faulty Power supply?
Donde se reemplaza la batería de la bios?
I did everything correctly but in the beginning when it was plugged in it was charging now it doesn’t charge
Great video. Tool tip for popping off the back: The can opener/screw driver blade on a swiss army knife worked very well. (This is opposite the bottle opener on mine.) It is less likely to mar the plastic case than other items or tools.
Worked like a charm, thanks as didn’t have to call Geek squad
Great video. It was extremely helpful. Is it necessary to calibrate the battery after replacing it?
Thank you for an excellent video! I watched it and was able to replace my battery with no problem! Thank you very much for the information on how to take the back off and what to expect when inside. I appreciate you!
Does that laptop have cmos battery
Love it was literally my exact model. Thanks man
This was very helpful. Thank you so much!
thanks for the details step by step and telling us we can add ram
I replaced my battery with one major problem. Now the screen doesn’t work. I can plug an external monitor into the HDMI port and it works. I must have bumped a connector to the screen or something in the process.
Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!
Hi there, I’m trying to replace the battery on my HP Pavilion & am following your video. I got stuck at removing the optical drive which will not come out. It looks so easy in your video – I can’t see what I am doing wrong. I have removed all the screws & popped the cover all around to the optical drive. Now I need to get it out to remove the screws underneath it, and here I am confronted with the problem. My battery is completely empty, so I tried connecting the laptop to the outlet again, but it still wouldn’t come out. I am so lost, can you help with some advice??
Thanks for the vid. I would just say use a "plastic" edge to detach the back of the computer. I use guitar picks that work perfectly.
There’s this cord that splits into many tiny colored cords held down by some white thing. Video wasn’t helpful what do ever
I have two screws under the DVD tray I can’t get to..No,no screws there,But I can’t get the cover off, something in the middle..will the laptop work if the battery is removed
Can you give tips on. How to keep the hard drive drawer lined up when you put the back back on
Both the links don’t work anymore
One thing to warn about, as I wrecked my 14 month old HP this way, is that dealing with those tiny and very fiddly screws, the slightest wobble can mean one rolls away from the hole and touches the motherboard. There is power running through it with the battery in place, and in my case, this resulted in a few tiny sparks. I hoped they were of no significance but when assembled the laptop wouldn’t even power on. I took it to a repairer for an opinion (not a full.check, for which I’d have had to pay, I just wanted an idea of cost). I was told that it was very likely that the screw has shorted the motherboard and, as a result may have also damaged other components. As a having a new board fitted would likely cost at least half the price of a new laptop even if nothing else needed replacing, it was basically a write off. The old detachable batteries were far more convenient!
I bought a glasses repair kit from Dollar Tree and use the tools to open the laptop… 🙂
Will this battery work HT03XL on this laptop please reply
You’re better off using an unused plastic card (could be anything, e.g. ID card) for prying it open. That’s what I do and it works faster.
Thanks for the video. I had to basically lobotomize my laptop to change my battery. lol
Quelle puissance de batterie faut il pour un HP Pavilion 15cs 00064 i7 8th
